Hello all music lovers! My name is Joachim Becerra Thomsen, and I am principal flautist in Det Kongelige Kapel at Det Kongelige Teater. I have had the pleasure of selecting some concerts that I think will be a great experience!
I play a lot of opera and ballet music, but not as often the baroque and chamber music that I love, so these concerts are ones that I would really like to experience myself 😊
I hope you enjoy it!
🕊 7 April 2020. Daniel Hope, Simon Crawford Philips & DSQ. Konservatoriets Koncertsal.
This concert should be a fantastic evening for anyone interested in chamber music. DSQ is such a musically inspiring ensemble, just like Daniel Hope. I played with him once, and his humanity made a great impression on me.
🤩 28 March 2022. DUO BRANTELID-HADLAND. Mogens Dahl Koncertsal.
Debussy's and Bridge's sonatas for cello and piano are incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. I have never heard Peder Gram's sonata myself, and I dare say that many others haven't either 😉 Kodály's sonata for solo cello is an interesting chance to hear chamber music for just one player. All these pieces were written in 1915 - a time of great unrest in the world. I am sure that these pieces are just as relevant today as they were then.
💃 10 June 2023. Cecilia Bartoli and Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco. DR Koncerthuset.
Although this concert is a year and a half away, I think it is worth considering buying your ticket already 😅 I think Cecilia Bartoli is so wonderfully crazy and fantastic, and I love the way she captures an atmosphere, a moment, and engages the audience in her storytelling. Here you can hear her sing baroque arias with her own orchestra Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco!
