Birkende Kirke

Birkende Kirke is a church in Birkende Parish in Kerteminde Municipality (situated in the former Langeskov Municipality). The church was probably built in the 1300s, but seems first to be mentioned in surviving documents in 1524, when it was assessed at 10 marks in the land aid. In the register the church is listed under Åsum Herred, and if this is correct it was later in the 1500s attached to Bjerge.
