Gammel Læsesal is one of the library's study reading rooms, and it is known and loved for its special atmosphere. The reading room is located in Den Sorte Diamant in Copenhagen. The atmospheric reading room in the original part of Det Kgl. Bibliotek on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen is called Gammel Læsesal. The reading room stands almost exactly as it was at its inauguration in 1906, and exudes absorption in literature and the sciences.
