Reformert Kirke is a church building in Gothersgade in Copenhagen, opposite Rosenborg. It was built in 1689 on the initiative of Queen Charlotte Amalie for the German-Dutch and French Reformed congregations in Copenhagen. She was a Calvinist and won religious freedom for herself, her court and later all co-religionists in the capital. The church was built in 1689 by Hendrik Brockham together with the court painter Jacques d'Agar and is said to have been inspired by the Flemish Mennonite church on the Singel in Amsterdam. The building, with churchyard, four pastors' residences, two schools, a care home and an orphanage, was from the beginning shared between the two congregations, each with its own language, its own presbyteries and pastors.
