Hi, I'm Giacomo, a French cellist graduating from the soloist program of DKDM next Wednesday. I'll be performing some of my absolute favorite pieces in my Debut concert.
The greatest thing about cello playing is that I have a lot of different hats. I can be the bass and foundation, the next day I'm part of a huge orchestra and another day I have these cheesy solos that make me feel like a movie star!
🎻 Giacomo Oudin Debut Concert
📅 31st of May
🇩🇰 Copenhagen, Konsevatoriets Konsertsal
I wanted to present all these aspects of playing the cello during my debut so there will be the fantastic Sextet by Schönberg, Verklärte Night where the recent P2 winners Absalon Quartet will join me on stage, as well as the loopy Poulenc sonata and the fantastic Vasks cello concerto! (Rumor has it one of the Live Klassisk founders will be playing too!) I would love for you guys to come and join! There's also a Livestream on youtube if you feel like debut&chill! 🍿
I got offered by the great Live Klassisk team to handpick a few concerts for you and it was super fun to do! 💪🤓
🎻Absalon+Andreas Brantelid&DKDM
📅12th of June
🇩🇰 Copenhagen, Tivoli
There's something absolutely magical about the Summer concerts in Tivoli! You wander around the park in the afternoon, get some cotton candy or churros before entering the Koncertsal with its old Hollywood vibe, feeling like a modern Cary Grant or Ingrid Bergman. You can discuss the experience afterwards at Anarkist bar right around the corner and sip one of the nicest beers brewed in DK.
Make sure to mark your calendars on June 12th. You will hear "Death & the maiden", monumental 14th Schubert Quartet and one of the best pieces of chamber music out there! It will be performed by Absalon Quartet, slowly taking a well deserved spot as one of the leading groups of chamber music in Scandinavia. Isn't it a cool feeling when a new band has their breakthrough and you're like "yeah, I've been following them before they got big"?😎 So hurry up, it's probably already too late 😉
For the second half of the concert we hear Brahms' 2nd String Sextet! With the amazing Andreas Brantelid, one the best musicians in the world right now, surrounded by top notch students of the Royal Academy, you'll for sure have a great time!
🎻 Christoph Eschenbach+August Finkas and Cph Phil
📅 22nd of June
🇩🇰 Copenhagen, Tivoli
The Legendary German maestro, Christoph Eschenbach conducting Copenhagen Phil! On the menu Beethoven's 5th symphony and Mozart's mesmerizing clarinet concerto played by August Finkas, first solo clarinet of thus orchestra, August is an amazing musician and a cool dude!
🎻 Cansin Kara Debut

If my debut wasn't enough and you still have a bit of space for some juicy cello, head straight to the concert hall of the academy for another cello debut with my good friend and incredible cellist Cansin Kara! Stravinsky, Debussy and the monstrous Shostakovich cello concerto among other gems!
🎻 Det kongelige Kapel

The new opera is also such a beautiful building, go there early grab a drink and sit on the stairs by the water while the sun shines in your face and you get a great view of Marmorkirken and Amalienborg.
