Relæxt Advent

Description

Relæxt Advent with Amalie Stalheim and the chamber orchestra It is once again time for the Relæxt Advent concert for the whole family in Rødbankens Festsal, and it is with great pleasure that we again welcome you to a concert with beautiful sounds and atmospheric community singing. This time with the chamber orchestra under the direction of star cellist Amalie Stalheim. Amalie Stalheim is known as one of Scandinavia's most versatile and exciting cellists, and has received a number of prizes both internationally and here at home. She has a musical charisma that delights both fellow musicians and audiences, and in recent years she has played with some of Europe's most acclaimed orchestras. Stalheim's musical palette is diverse - from the great classical masterpieces to contemporary music. In addition to her work as a performer, Stalheim has started her own mentoring programme in collaboration with Bergen International Festival. Here young musicians and composers work closely together on premieres of new works. Amalie Stalheim has previously played with our chamber orchestra as a guest at Kraggerud inviterer in 2023. It is a pleasure to welcome her back to us. Amalie Stalheim plays a GB Guadagnini cello from 1783, on loan from Dextra Musica. With this atmospheric Advent concert we hope that the peace of Christmas descends, and we wish everyone a very good Advent and a merry Christmas.
