Stormen Konserthus is the new grand hall of Bodø and Nordland for the performing arts. The opening date was Saturday 15 November 2014
In the middle of Bodø city centre, on "the best plot in town", two white buildings stand side by side. Stormen, with a library and a concert hall, opened on 15 November 2014 and the buildings have already won several architecture prizes.
In Stormen Konserthus you will find a main hall seating approx. 900 people. The building also has a stage tower that offers great possibilities for theatre sets and exciting scenography. The concert hall has already gained a reputation as one of the best halls in the world for performing acoustic music, and our Steinway grand piano was hand-picked by Leif Ove Andsnes.
