Phil Awake: Time

Description

When we set the clocks back and the morning suddenly feels different, Phil Awake focuses on time – the fleeting moment, standstill and everything we cannot hold on to. With a talk by Jan Faye, associate professor emeritus at the University of Copenhagen, we explore the mysteries of time through philosophy and music. Experience 4’33” by John Cage and Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Pärt – music that opens a space in which time seems to stand still. Phil Awake – what is it? There are mornings that simply have to be got through. And then there are those that give you energy for the rest of the day. That is Phil Awake – your new musical wake-up call. Enjoy a sensory pause with coffee, a croissant and live music from some of the country's best musicians. Lean back, slow down and carry on with new energy – uplifted, enriched and awake. It is Copenhagen Phil's take on the best start to the day, where on selected days from 8-9 you get a fresh morning contribution delivered by exciting speakers and musicians from the orchestra. Keep an eye on the website for more Phil Awakes.
