Children's opera: Cinderella

Description

An experience for the whole family, where classical music becomes lively, immediate and fun - created in a unique collaboration between Operaen i Midten and Ensemble MidtVest. In this very special version of Rossini's beloved fairy tale Cinderella, children and adults meet a colourful performance full of music, singing, humour and surprises. Two singers and five musicians together create all the characters in the performance, while the wind instruments are transformed into living characters with feelings, temperament and plenty of personality. The performance is created by Operaen i Midten in co-production with Ensemble MidtVest, whose musicians take part on stage as an active part of the story. Here the music is not merely an accompaniment - it helps drive the action forward and open the door to the wondrous universe of opera. Here there are no dusty opera rules. A prop can become a castle, a carriage or a prince in a moment, and the audience is invited into a universe where curiosity, imagination and music go hand in hand. Rossini's effervescent music forms the framework for the story of Cinderella, who with courage, kindness and a little magic finds her own way in the world. The performance is created especially for children aged 6-10 and gives a playful introduction to the enchanting universe of opera. Duration: approx. 40 minutes Recommended age: 6-10 years
