Dirigent: Nicholas Algot Swensen / Vært: Mathias Hammer
Description
Everyone is invited along as we once again serve musical delicacies by the greatest composers. With high spirits and musical stories, Mathias Hammer sets the right mood – and not least welcomes both seasoned concert-goers and new listeners to a concert with the best of the very best! Welcome to the fourth edition of the popular concert format Mesterstykker, where the most popular, intoxicating and catchy pieces of classical music are presented by Mathias Hammer from Den Klassiske Musikquiz. With humour and musical insight he guides the audience through the great music and the fascinating world of the symphony orchestra's colours, roles and dynamic characters. Here we will experience familiar and surprising classical highlights, stretching from the most delicate notes to the most dramatic climaxes. And from the surging to the heart-rending, letting the symphony orchestra pulse as if it were a living organism. Musically, the concert is a journey through time from Mozart's classical masterpieces to immortal hits from operas and ballets by Johann Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Bizet and Prokofiev. Along the way there are also superb Nordic movements by Sibelius and the Danish national composer Carl Nielsen. Welcome to an evening for everyone. Full of musical beauty and depth!
