Description

Carl Nielsen in old and new bottles, which we mix and shake Four prominent musicians come together in a programme that ranges from classical masterpieces to innovative sound art - with particular emphasis on Carl Nielsen. The violinist Clara Richter-Bæk, concertmaster of Randers Kammerorkester, and the concert pianist Emil Gryesten play works by Nielsen as well as Leoš Janáček's violin sonata, among other things. The duo Cort Lunde - Erik Lunde (trumpet) and Thomas Cortes (bass, electronics) continue the evening with an experimental interpretation of Nielsen's music, in which electronic textures, improvisation and acoustic instruments melt together. Cort Lunde combines jazz, classical and electronic music in a personal expression that challenges and renews the concert format. Carl Nielsen wrote many of our best-known and best-loved Danish songs, such as ”Jeg ved en lærkerede”, and this evening both his folk songs and his art music receive loving treatment from the four musicians. Programme: Cort Lunde introduces the colours of the evening's sound. Concert with Emil Gryesten and Clara Richter-Bæk with music by Carl Nielsen (including Sonata No. 2), Ludwig van Beethoven and Leos Janacek.
