RAMA Classics: Orchestra in Parts - joint concert

Description

At this concert we bring together all the sections of the orchestra. At this one concert you can experience all the many tonal colours that the different sections of the orchestra represent, gathered together. The three groups - strings, woodwinds, and brass plus percussion - play in turn at the concert. The concert is part of the festival "RAMA CLASSIC". RAMA CLASSIC - orchestra in sections RAMA CLASSIC is a mini-festival at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium that presents the different sections into which a classical symphony orchestra is divided. Three concerts on Friday and Saturday each present one section (strings, woodwinds, and brass plus percussion), and a fourth concert on Saturday presents all the sections one after another at the same concert. The music is played by the conservatoire's students, under the direction of a teacher. Each concert is introduced by one of the conservatoire's regular teachers, all of whom are experienced orchestral musicians. At ordinary symphonic concerts and in the daily rehearsal work of a symphony orchestra, it can be hard to tell the individual instruments and instrument groups apart. At the RAMA CLASSIC concerts the audience gets right up close to the orchestra's different sub-groups. And for the students, working in somewhat smaller groups sharpens the ability to listen to one another, to let the instruments blend in sound and to be flexible in ensemble playing. The concert is free, and you can simply turn up without a ticket. Arrive in good time.
