Symfonisk Sal was built specially for Aarhus Symfoniorkester and for symphonic music. The hall was inaugurated in 2007. The colours of the hall are Nordic and consist of light ash wood, grey acoustic panels and black seats. As a contrast, red rear walls were chosen, and when the acoustic panels are adjusted, the same red colour peeks out. The hall is very high - about 25 metres - and has two balcony sections in addition to the side balconies, which are reached from floor level. The stage has room for a full symphony orchestra, and the raised platform behind the stage has room for a large choir. Besides symphonic concerts, Symfonisk Sal is often used for award ceremonies, opening ceremonies and presentations. The concert hall organ creates the perfect backdrop and can be lit in different colours. A unique organ in the rear wall Symfonisk Sal's new concert organ is built into the rear wall. The organ is by Klais and was inaugurated in December 2010. The organ was donated to Musikhuset Aarhus and Aarhus Symfoniorkester by A.P. Møller og hustru Chastine McKinney Møllers Fond til almene formål.
