Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester
Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester is a regional orchestra with 65 passionate string, wind and percussion players. We play concerts every week all over South and Southern Jutland – an area with more than 700,000 inhabitants.
Every year we play around 150 events – ranging from symphony concerts to church concerts, school concerts and family concerts. We also play joint concerts with the Schleswig-Holstein Symphony Orchestra, concerts with local choirs and upper-secondary school choirs, and concerts for Den Jyske Opera's productions in the region. We also take part in broadcasts on DR P2, and we regularly record CDs, among others for the labels Danacord and dacapo.
Our music reaches all the way out – and all the way in. It builds bridges and creates harmony and fellowship. Especially between us & the audience.
