DR Pigekoret's Spring

Description

Choral music and church acoustics belong together. For centuries, composers have created music for singing voices, which has had a natural setting in the iconic architecture of the church - and in our time the church space is still the ideal setting for many different types of choral music. DR Pigekoret's spring concert is a special opportunity to experience DR Pigekoret's 50 young singers in Holmens Kirke, where words, voices and notes reach every corner of the church. Here you can become one with the space and the music and get right up close to the singers. To mark the arrival of spring, the choir launches into a powerful vocal explosion with young, raw vocal power and strong newly written works, where light and spring burst forth from the darkness of winter.
