Beethoven Symphonies 4 & 7

Description

2027 is a Beethoven year (died in 1827). In May 2027 Copenhagen Soloists celebrate it with two symphonies - Nos. 4 and 7. The ensemble specialises in playing on historical instruments according to historically informed practice. Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 is one of the more rarely performed. Mendelssohn, Schumann and Berlioz greatly admired it, and Berlioz regarded the heavenly 2nd movement as a sigh of the archangel Michael. Symphony No. 7 is one of the most popular and contains colossal energy, not least in the dancing second movement and the unstoppable finale - Wagner called the symphony the apotheosis of the dance. Duration 1 hour and 45 minutes including interval. Tickets 220-420 kr. (Copenhagen), 140-340 kr. (Aarhus). Programme: Beethoven / Symphony No. 4 Beethoven / Symphony No. 7
