Furesø Musikforening

In 2017 Farum Musikforening was able to celebrate its 20th anniversary. With the municipal merger, the society changed its name to Furesø Musikforening.
The society is led by a board of five and one deputy member, all elected at the annual general meeting, which is held in January.
So far the society has received annual operating grants from Furesø Municipality, Statens Kunststyrelse, and Solistforeningen af 1921.
The board's aim is to arrange mainly classical concerts featuring some of our most prominent soloists and chamber musicians. We also want to give young artists the opportunity to present themselves at the start of their careers.
In the past, Furesø Musikforening has, in cooperation with Vitus Rejser, arranged an annual music trip for its members. Over the years we have visited Berlin, Prague, Oslo, Lübeck, Tallinn and Riga, St Petersburg, as well as towns in Denmark.

You do not need to be a resident of the municipality to become a member of Furesø Musikforening. As a member you have access to all the season's concerts for 550 kroner. That works out at about 69 kroner per ticket.
Children and young people under 25 have free admission.
At all the society's concerts, guest tickets are also sold at the entrance, and membership can be taken out there too.
Our season follows the calendar year, and membership is normally taken out at the start of the calendar year. If you join later, please contact Marianne Stohn to agree the membership fee.
