Klassisk på Frederiksberg
Copenhagen
We are a new chamber music society in Frederiksberg, whose aim is to spread chamber music to a broad audience. It is our hope to create a rich and enthusiastic community in Frederiksberg around chamber music in particular, which is classical music in small combinations of typically 2-8 musicians.
People of all ages and from different backgrounds should have the opportunity to get to know classical music. Chamber music is a unique genre in which the music comes very close, and the audience has the opportunity for dialogue with the musicians. The interaction and collaboration between the performers is wonderful to experience up close. We make a special effort with communication and introductions to the concerts.
The society has three branches: children's concerts, house concerts in local Frederiksberg homes, and more traditional chamber concerts. All concerts are locally rooted in Frederiksberg.
The society has four permanent ensembles as its base:
Three well-known Danish ensembles:
"Keglebanetrioen", the wind quintet "Opus Zoo", "Nightingale String Quartet" and the internationally renowned string quartet Henschel Quartet.
