Randers
Kammermusikforeningen BRAGE is the oldest existing music society in Denmark. The society presents skilled and well-known artists from Denmark and abroad.
Membership: If you take out a subscription, you are a member. A subscription is obtained by buying at least 3 concerts, which can be freely chosen from the concert series of BRAGE and Randers Kammerorkester.
""Randers Musikforening"", founded in 1852, was merged in 1865 with a lecture
society called ""Torsdagsforeningen"". The new society was named ""Brage"".
The society's purpose was to hold music events of an entertaining nature.
At first it was the members themselves who provided the entertainment, but gradually
it became possible to engage professional musicians.
