Fredensborg Slotskirke

Slottet 10, 3480 Fredensborg

Fredensborg Slotskirke is a very beautiful space with truly outstanding acoustics. This is because everything in the church - except the floor - is made of wood, which has then been marbled. The church was built in 1726 by Frederik 4. It is a rococo / baroque church, which today looks almost as it did in the time of Frederik 4. The ceiling of the church bears a large painting by Per Kirkeby. The church's organ dates from 1846 and has a special and very beautiful sound. In the most recent restoration of the Slotskirke in 2023 the organ was also restored. It was returned as far as possible to its original form from 1846.
