Frederiksborg Slotskirke

Frederiksborg Slotskirke is a church located in the west wing of Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød. After the introduction of absolutism in 1660, Frederiksborg Slotskirke became the anointing church for the Danish kings. The last anointing took place in 1840 (Christian 8.). The palace church is also the chapel of the Danish orders of chivalry: the Order of the Elephant and the Order of the Dannebrog.
