Ny Sal - Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium

Rosenørns Alle 22, 1970 Frederiksberg

Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium (DKDM) (English: Royal Danish Academy of Music) is a Danish music conservatoire. The conservatoire was founded in 1867 by the composer Niels W. Gade as Københavns Musikkonservatorium and is Denmark's oldest professional music educational institution. The conservatoire received its present name in 1902. Since 1949 the Danish state has been responsible for its operation. As of August 2008 the conservatoire took over Danmarks Radio's former premises at Rosenørns Allé 22 (Radiohuset with Radiohusets Koncertsal), which thus changed its name to Konservatoriets Koncertsal.
