Sct. Jacobi Kirke (Varde Kirke) is a church on Torvet in Varde. Its nave, chancel and apse date from the Romanesque period. It is not known for certain when Sct. Jacobi Kirke in Varde was built, but it is presumed to have been between 1150 and 1225. The tower was added in the late Middle Ages. In the period 1809-12 the church was extended with two side wings, giving it the ground plan of a cruciform church. The extension took place in connection with the demolition of Sankt Nicolai Kirke, Varde's first church. Source: Wikipedia (Sankt Jacobi Kirke)
