She meets her prince, faces a battle against enormous mice and rats, and is carried off to the lush Kingdom of Sweets. The story is much more than just a Christmas fairy tale. It is a story about growing up, which is also reflected in the dance. Now it is time to sink into this magical world, forget worries and stress, remember the dreams of childhood and fill the soul with inspiration, warmth and new dreams. The performance of Marius Petipa's classical choreography is performed by Etoile Production - a company organised in Kyiv by soloists from Ukraine's Kharkiv Opera and Ballet Theatre, Irina and Anatoly Khandazhevsky. The performers include professional ballet dancers at the highest level. The ballet is accompanied live by a string quartet, which gives the performance an intimate and warm Christmas atmosphere. The quartet appears on stage as part of the production and plays during key scenes, creating a close connection between music and dance.
