nyMusikk Trondheim's Christmas Concert

Description

A virtually Christmas-song-free Christmas concert. Welcome to the pre-Christmas season's perhaps oddest, loveliest and funniest Christmas concert. nyMusikk Trondheim offers experimental, genre-crossing music. The concert is virtually free of Christmas songs, yet with a refreshing mix of glitter and play, melancholy and longing, love and sorrow - a bit like Christmas, when you get down to it. nyMusikk Trondheim consists of local enthusiasts who are not afraid to challenge themselves or the audience, and who engage local musicians and composers from the rich music scene of the city and the region. Together they perform contemporary music in all forms, composed and improvised, electric and acoustic, perhaps even a singalong. Here you get a little break from the traditions of Christmas, where you can enjoy the music in all its glittering, melancholy splendour. Accessibility This year's Christmas concert is relaxed. That means that we at the theatre and the performers on stage take a relaxed attitude to movement and sounds from the audience, audience members can come and go from the auditorium as they wish, latecomers are allowed, and you can go out and spend time in our relaxed zone on the mezzanine during the concert if you need to. It will also be possible to sit on cushions and bean bags inside the auditorium as an alternative to chairs and benches.
