Kort og klassisk: Enigma Variations

Description

Kort og klassisk - one work, one introduction, one hour, Wednesday evening Elgar's colourful and moving Enigma Variations is both his breakthrough work and his best-known composition. In many ways the Enigma Variations is an enigmatic work, and each of the fourteen variations is linked to a particular friend or loved one, whose initials appear in the score. Elgar himself said that there is also a larger enigma in the work, but he refused to reveal it.
