A SYMPHONIC FAIRY TALE

Description

Let the sound waves carry you from the steaming bathhouse to the town by the water and on to the living castle, before finally setting you down at the great camphor tree, where you can greet the forest spirit Totoro. In this musical fairy tale we dive into a wonderful world where you will hear Joe Hisaishi's iconic music from the animated films Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbour Totoro. The films are dearly loved around the world, and for this concert it is solely the fantastic sound universe that is in focus. The music richly deserves it, too, as in itself it encapsulates the very special magic that can only be found in these whimsical and touching stories. So hop on your broom or climb aboard the train, and head to Odense Koncerthus, which on this day is transformed into a mysterious symphonic parallel universe by means of the magical music from the four masterpieces of Japanese animation. The music is performed with rights leased from the relevant rights holders. The concert is not officially affiliated with Studio Ghibli.
