Odense Koncerthus - Carl Nielsen Salen

Odense Koncerthus was designed by the architects M.A.A. Per Hougaard Nielsen, C. J. Nørgaard Pedersen, Lars Møller and Birte Rørbæk (project manager) and was inaugurated in 1982. The main purpose of the concert hall is to house Odense Symfoniorkester. The concert hall is the area's most prominent building by virtue of its size and function. That is why the large building presses down into the terrain – the concert hall's floor lies on the basement level. For the same reason the building also lies diagonally to the whole H. C. Andersen quarter.
