Description
Experience Katrine Gislinge in the Danish composer Bent Sørensen's magical dreamscape of a piano concerto - and be intoxicated by the deepest emotions of darkness in Tchaikovsky. The pianist Katrine Gislinge is a well-known name both on the great stages and on the TV screen - and now you can experience her in the Danish composer Bent Sørensen's piano concerto "La Mattina". The music is filled with night music and delicate glassy sounds, and the concerto is "the deepest and darkest thing I have ever written," says Bent Sørensen. A passionate symphony, full of passion: Tchaikovsky poured his whole soul into his "Pathétique" Symphony, and it is a favourite symphony - for Aarhus Symfoniorkester, for conductor Dmitry Matvienko and for a great many listeners. The concert also features a fanfare by the Swedish composer Rolf Martinsson, who wrote the music specifically for Aarhus Symfoniorkester.
