Brahms 2

Description

Experience two of the most fundamental pillars of music: Beethoven's captivating Violin Concerto is a revelation for the violin - and Brahms's wonderfully radiant and surging orchestral universe is nourishment for the soul. "To me, Beethoven's Violin Concerto stands as one of the most sublime and lyrical violin concertos there is. I never tire of either playing or hearing it, and the magic will always be there for me." - Søs Nyengaard, violin Beethoven's Violin Concerto is the concerto above all others. So incredibly simple, and so incredibly effective - a world of intense inwardness. It is music that penetrates deep into the soul - and never quite leaves us. Fedor Rudin has impressed at several concerts with Aarhus Symfoniorkester over the past couple of years, and at this concert he is both soloist and conductor. Joie de vivre is at the heart of Brahms's 2nd Symphony. Rushing brooks, sunshine and cool green shadows: the symphony brims with summer atmosphere and warmth - full of wonderful pictures of nature. The symphony shows why Brahms is quite simply one of the foundation stones of the house that is classical music. The soloist is sponsored by SymfoBusiness platinum partner Keld Heine Mortensen Programme: Ludwig van Beethoven / Violin Concerto Johannes Brahms / Symphony No. 2
