Final Concert

Description

Watch some of the world's best young talents compete for glory, the big prizes and a promising career on the international stage. Since its beginning in 2011, Aarhus International Piano Competition has established itself as one of the world's leading competitions for very young pianists. In the spring of 2027 the competition takes place for the eighth time, so that it is once again possible to follow the great talents' path towards the stars. For the competition, Aarhus is visited by 42 young pianists from all over the world, aged 11-21. Two Danish participants are guaranteed a place. As usual, Aarhus International Piano Competition is a truly unique opportunity to enjoy concert experiences at the highest level, and to experience the greatest young piano talents in the world. A long list of the competition's former winners are today internationally recognised pianists with fine careers in the world's great concert halls. The competition's preliminary rounds take place in Lille Sal in Musikhuset Aarhus every day from 10 April up to and including 16 April 2027 - admission is free. For the final concert, Aarhus Symfoniorkester and the three finalists provide a magnificent concert experience. The competition looks forward to once again welcoming you to a spectacular piano celebration! The soloists will be announced in connection with the concert. The finalists can choose between works by Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg, Schumann, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff when selecting their final programme.
