Luisi & Anne-Sophie Mutter

Description

The star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter returns to DR Symfoniorkestret with a brand-new triple concerto, commissioned by, among others, DR from the young Iranian composer Golfam Khayam. Together with two specially chosen musical colleagues, Anne-Sophie Mutter presents the European premiere of the new work in Koncertsalen, before the three soloists, together with DR Symfoniorkestret and Fabio Luisi, set off on tour to some of Europe's leading concert halls. The evening also features Tjajkovskij's Symphony No. 6, whose power, expression and originality are still overwhelming. The symphony was the composer's last, and it is undoubtedly the most emotionally intense and powerful symphony he wrote - full of both charm and tenderness, fire and tragedy. Programme: Golfam Khayam / Triple Concerto (European premiere) Tjajkovskij / Symphony No. 6
