Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium Experience tomorrow's conductors trying their hand with a full symphony orchestra and a challenging repertoire. When you study music, you have your instrument to practise on. When you are a conducting student you need an orchestra to practise on, and that is why the regional orchestras always line up once a year for conducting students from Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium. It is not often that one gets the chance to look straight into the engine room of the symphony orchestra and see for oneself what role the conductor plays in the music's expression, feeling and dynamics – not to mention the orchestra's ensemble playing. It is an instructive, entertaining and quite special experience, both for the students and for the audience. On the podium for this concert stands the young conductor Korbinian Krol, who, in addition to continuing his studies at the conservatoire, is also part of the national talent programme Dirigentløftet. He shares the spotlight with the oboist Henrik Arup, who has already made his mark as an exciting young musician on the rise. The concert is presented by the students' lecturer, the experienced conductor Giordano Bellincampi, who also gives the audience a few words to take with them.
