Poseidon Kvartetten

Poseidon Kvartetten

Go to website
The Poseidon Quartet consists of four leading and highly experienced chamber musicians and soloists. Together they formed the POSEIDON QUARTET in 2007. Since then the quartet has played concerts at most of Denmark's music societies and concert halls, and has also played concerts in Sweden. In 2011 the quartet released a CD with string quartets by Schumann and Ravel. The quartet's members feel that, in their playing together and collaboration, they share a unique understanding of how the music should be interpreted, phrased and communicated to the audience. The quartet's name is taken from the god of the sea and the forces of nature, which symbolises the four musicians' striving to bring out moods and contrasts in the music, from wildness, temperament and surging waves to calm, introspection and a perfectly still sea.
