Equinox Chamber Music Festival

Equinox is a chamber music and dance festival that every year brings together friends and artists from all over the world for one week of concerts in Copenhagen. The festival aims to promote forgotten, underrepresented and especially female composers, and the programme is thus a combination of lesser-known, rediscovered and newly written masterpieces, which have often never been played in Denmark before.
The festival also offers its Choreographic Laboratory, where ballet dancers collaborate with the musicians and composers to create dance works in which dance and music take the stage on an equal footing. Based on the fundamental inseparability of music and dance, our Choreographic Laboratory is an experiment in cross-disciplinary collaboration, which adds moving and magical moments to the concert evenings.
The concerts always have an informal and intimate atmosphere, where you are welcome to bring the family, enjoy a beer at the bar, and chat with the artists during the interval. The festival attracts a varied and diverse audience, in which everyone can feel welcome, whether it is the first or the hundredth time you attend a chamber music concert.
