Say hi to Kaya!
Hello concertgoers!
My name is Kaya Kato Møller, I am a violinist in NOVO Quartet - a Danish/Polish string quartet based in Copenhagen. Normally I'm the one on stage, but over the last few years I have become quite curious about “the situation behind the scenes”, which has resulted in my launching a brand-new chamber music series in Copenhagen. Read more about it below!
I have the pleasure of hand-picking some concerts in Denmark and Norway that I am planning to attend myself, or that I really wish I could get to. I hope it can be an inspiration to you out there!
🌱 28 & 29 March 19:30 / Across Chamber Music Series @ Musikhuset København
This is the brand-new chamber music series I mentioned earlier. I have gathered 9 of Scandinavia's leading young musicians to join me on stage at Musikhuset, the old City Museum on Vesterbrogade - one of the busiest streets in central Copenhagen. I promise you it will be chamber music in a class of its own. If your wallet feels empty but you thirst for good concert experiences, this concert series is a good way to quench that thirst. Mixed programme, different on both days. Everyone is welcome, I hope to see you there!
🎺 10 May 20:00 / Tine Thing Helseth & Marianna Shirinyan
Two of the biggest stars in Scandinavia. Besides that, they also have in common that they are bursting with energy and always have a huge smile on their faces. You can't help smiling in their company (I've tried). I'm pretty sure the two of them have phenomenal chemistry together - a match that will have the audience tossed around the emotional register along with them.
🧝🏻‍♀️ 26 & 27 May at 20:00 / DR Pigekoret's summer evening
DR Pigekoret and Philip Faber have a very special, magical power. I have had the great pleasure of playing with them a couple of times myself, and they simply radiate youth and joy of singing. When I have heard them, I have somehow forgotten all about time and place, and I just wanted to stay. I'd say that's a pretty good start.
