Kerteminde is a town and former market town in East Funen with 6,150 inhabitants (2026), located 17 km north-west of Nyborg and 18 km north-east of Odense. Kerteminde is the municipal seat of Kerteminde Municipality and lies in Region Syddanmark. East of the town lies Kerteminde Bugt, which is part of Storebælt, and to the west lies Kerteminde Fjord, which continues into Kertinge Nor. The town has Funen's largest fishing harbour, and there was a fish auction 1935-2003. Near Kerteminde are also, among others, Lundsgaard Gods, the manor Ulriksholm, Vikingemuseet Ladby and the villages of Kertinge and Dræby.
