In Roskilde Domkirke you can experience a cornucopia of musical experiences in the beautiful church space. There is ample opportunity to listen to our own skilled musicians and singers – both at services, in smaller, intimate settings and in the very large productions, and there will likewise be the chance to experience soloists and ensembles from both Denmark and abroad.
Roskilde Domkirke is a very special church. With its more than 800 years of history it contains glimpses of the whole of Danish history, and it has served as a royal burial place for more than 600 years. Since 1995 the Domkirke has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List because of its unique architecture. That same architecture helps create fantastic acoustics, which make it very special to make music in the beautiful church space. Roskilde Domkirke also has a world-famous, historic organ; the Raphaëlis organ. All this – and much more – makes it something quite special to experience the music unfold in the Domkirke – and we look forward to welcoming you.
