Lutosławski's Cello Concerto

Description

Truls Mørk is the soloist in Lutosławski's Cello Concerto Arne Nordheim wrote Adieu as a personal farewell to his friend and colleague Witold Lutoslawski, one of the great composers of the 1900s. Lutoslawski's own cello concerto, performed by Truls Mørk, is a work full of dramatic dialogues and emotional contrasts, and is regarded today as a modern classic. The evening ends with Berlioz' Symphonie fantastique, an opium dream in orchestral form, with Aivis Greters conducting.
