The Trondheim Soloists (Trondheimsolistene),Norway is one of the most exciting young ensembles performing on the international stage. Through the orchestra’s dedication, commitment and enthusiasm it has quickly established itself as the most innovative chamber ensemble in Norway with invitations to collaborate with artists of the highest calibre across a broad range of genres. Together with the violinist Geir Inge Lotsberg as Artistic Director, the orchestra is now firmly recognised as being at the forefront of defining artistic quality in Norway. Trondheim Soloists from Norway was founded in 1988 by Professor Bjarne Fiskum, and was for many years an arena for professional concert training for string players at the Conservatoire in Trondheim. As a result of many concerts throughout Europe as well as concerts tours to the USA, Asia and Brazil, the Trondheim Soloists has grown to be an ensemble of international renown. Thanks to their innovative profile the Trondheim Soloists have received much critical acclaim and attracted attention with their combination of high standards, youthful vigour and lively enthusiasm for the music.
