Musikk i Nordland
Musikk i Nordland is a concert provider, a partner for other players and a centre of expertise for organisers. Since our start in 1992 we have produced high-quality concert experiences and made sure they have reached every nook and cranny of our long, narrow county.
«The aim is to create great musical experiences in small places. Musikk i Nordland is to be one of the pillars of cultural life in the region»
Together with our sister organisations in the regional musicians scheme (landsdelsmusikerordningen) we deliver flexible offerings with great breadth of genre, adapted to real needs and development.
We often enter into collaborations with the aim of being a resource of expertise when it comes to producer services, marketing and idea development. To cover the whole of Nordland, we produce and send out musicians and groups who are not permanently employed by us. We also provide musician services to players in local communities all over Nordland. In this way we can help raise the quality and make productions feasible for others.
In addition to producing concert experiences in co-production with others, we also have a number of in-house productions with the distinguished chamber ensemble MiNensemblet, which is the performing part of Musikk i Nordland. MiNensemblet creates great experiences in small places. They have a broad and spirited repertoire, care about quality and artistic renewal, and perform in different line-ups from duos to full ensemble.
