JANZ & HAYDN'S THE SEASONS

Description

As is tradition, we perform one of the really great oratorios together with Flensburger Bach-Chor and Symphonischer Chor Hamburg under the direction of Matthias Janz. This year it is Haydn's The Seasons on the programme. The Seasons is a tribute to nature and country life. The text is based on a series of English poems by James Thomson, which describe the four seasons with lyrical landscape descriptions, rural activity and festive holidays. From stormy choral movements to the most delicate birdsong! Duration: approx. 2 hours 30 min, including interval Programme: J. Haydn: The Seasons, oratorio
