ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: Copenhagen Music School Symphony Orchestra
Description
Come to a terrific concert with the Copenhagen Music School’s Symphony Orchestra! The programme is a mixture of highlights from the orchestra’s repertoire over the past 10 years and the programme for the orchestra’s tour to Seoul in March. It will include several well-known works by great Danish composers, which we look forward to presenting to you and later to the South Korean audience. The orchestra is based at Københavns Musikskole in Kødbyen, where the pupils meet weekly for rehearsals. They also take part in rehearsal weekends and travel on a tour abroad about every other year. The orchestra started 10 years ago as a chamber orchestra, but over the years was expanded with wind and percussion and today has a good 50 young members aged between 12 and 24. The trip to South Korea came about because for a period there was a South Korean cellist in the orchestra. His mother had business in Denmark for a few months and he had travelled up with her. It developed into a friendship, and a dream of visiting them in Seoul arose. Doors open 30 minutes before the concert starts. We remind you that snacks and drinks may not be brought into the church. We look forward to seeing you!
