DR Pigekorets Jul

Description

DR Pigekorets jul is one of the highlights of the year at DR Koncerthuset. Tradition meets the present as the Concert Hall provides the setting for a powerful, all-round musical experience, in which DR Pigekoret, together with musical guests, invites you into the magical musical world of Christmas. Ever since 1938, DR Pigekoret has invited Danes into the music and songs of Christmas every year, and in recent years the choir has developed and expanded its Christmas concerts into a very special and visual concert experience, inviting several generations into the living music and memories of Christmas. At the Christmas concerts, the music and traditions of Christmas are explored with curiosity and unfolded in a modern, staged musical narrative that puts the traditions and symbols of Christmas in a contemporary light. This year's Christmas concerts feature DR Pigekoret, conductor Charlotte Rowan and singers from DR Børnekoret and DR Juniorkoret, together with musical guests who will be announced ahead of the concert. The concert is for the whole family, though with a minimum age of 6.
