Kort og klassisk: Rachmaninoff 3

Description

Kort og klassisk - one work, one introduction, one hour, Wednesday evening. Sergei Rachmaninoff's legendary and romantic Piano Concerto No. 3 has a magical power of attraction. It is obsessive, virtuosic and makes almost inhuman demands on the pianist, who tonight is the London-based Russian star pianist Pavel Kolesnikov. Our first guest conductor Sir Mark Elder is a brilliant communicator, and tells us about the work before it is played. In the course of one hour you both hear about and experience Rachmaninoff's masterpiece. Programme: Sergei Rachmaninoff / Piano Concerto No. 3
