De Unges Konsert

Johannes Gustavsson

Description

Talent development since 1938 Over 500 young talents have been given the chance to be soloist with Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester since the first De Unges Konsert in 1938. The concert has been an unrivalled talent factory, and for great artists such as Henning Kraggerud, Håvard Gimse, Tine Thing Helseth, Truls Mørk, Vilde Frang and Lise Davidsen it has been an important step in their careers. Kapellmeister Harald Heide took the initiative for the concert, which in the beginning had only local soloists. In 1959 it had its national breakthrough, and after a period with a Nordic focus, De Unges Konsert is now an arena for music students at Norwegian institutions. The soloists are selected by audition, and those chosen receive a scholarship from the Grieg Foundation for their efforts. Programme: Ørjan Matre Attempted birdhouse 2.1 Five solo works to be announced later Performers: Johannes Gustavsson, conductor Five young soloists to be announced later Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester
