Trondheim Vokalensemble
Trondheim Vokalensemble is a professional choir established in 2015. The ensemble is affiliated with Nidarosdomen/Vår Frue menighet (NDVF) and Trondheim Symfoniorkester & Opera.
Trondheim Vokalensemble (TVE) came about as a result of a grant from Norsk Kulturråd in August 2015, following a joint application from Nidaros Domkirke and Vår Frue menighet (NDVF) and Trondheim Symfoniorkester (TSO). Work began at once on building up an ensemble through auditions, a task that is still ongoing. The ensemble currently has seven singers. In 2020 TVE is in its fourth full year of operation, and is well under way in finding its place in Trøndelag and in the Norwegian flora of professional music ensembles. Part of the ensemble singers' work is linked to TSO's activities, first and foremost opera and choral works. The choir is also affiliated with Nidarosdomen, where the ensemble helps to lift the singing, both at ordinary high masses and at events of national character. The choir also has room for concerts under its own management.
Trondheim Vokalensemble presents choral art at the highest professional level,- regionally, nationally and internationally. The choir also falls under the institutions' main objective of delivering high-quality music to as large an audience as possible. TSO is the employer and administers the operation, while NDVF administers the artistic management.
The ensemble currently has seven permanently employed singers, but the ensemble is expanded to both twelve and sixteen singers when needed. It recruits among the best both locally and nationally.
As of 2020, Trondheim Vokalensemble is Tonje Eero Hove, Ranveig Helen Lægreid, Nina Sætherhaug, Maria Moen Nohr, Stian Økland, Sverre Johan Aal, Morten Kvaal
