Camerata Øresund
The baroque ensemble Camerata Øresund, under the direction of Peter Spissky, was founded in 2010 and has since grown to become one of the most prominent early music ensembles in Denmark. The ensemble has been recognised for its communicative and energetic playing style and for its explosive enthusiasm. Camerata Øresund has an active concert schedule both in Denmark and abroad, and the ensemble's concerts have regularly been broadcast by Danmarks Radio. The ensemble has been a guest at festivals such as the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, the Haapsalu Early Music Festival and the Næstved Early Music Festival. The ensemble's projects range from children's Shrovetide concerts with costumed musicians to performances of some of the greatest works of the high baroque, such as Handel's Messiah and Bach's Christmas Oratorio together with Camerata Øresund's own vocal ensemble.
